Spring Term - Lifestyle Module
This next 7 week course starts Jan 21 - March 11 on Wed evening 7.15-10pm
(There will be no Eve College during Half-Term 18th Feb)
Some of you have enjoyed studying with us this term, when we covered the module on The Bible. We have been privileged to receive some excellent teaching from a range of different teachers at Evening College.
If you studied with us in the Autumn Term, then it will be great to have you join us for the Lifestyle Module. If you did not join us for the Module on the Bible, don’t let it stop you from joining us in January, it would be great to have you join us for this second module.
At Freedom we really value Worship. But lets be honest, sometimes it can seem a little hollow to come together and crank out a few songs before we crack on with the real bit where we listen to a talk. Whatever you have experienced before, I am convinced that God has more for you in this area. For three weeks in May/ June we are going to be exploring what corporate worship is really all about. We'll be looking at how God chooses to use times when we want to sing praise to him, to actually bless, refresh and change our lives.
Over the next few weeks we begin to build up towards Easter. What does that mean to you? Maybe you are just “made up” to be planning a bit of time off with the family or planning to get away for a break. Maybe you’ve given more time to really considering how to honour God by committing to something over lent, giving up chocolate seems to be the most popular, which seems ironic when most people celebrate a successful campaign by eating an Easter egg!
Whatever your build up looks like, there are a few things it would be great to do over the next few weeks. Please can I ask you to join with us as a church to pray for the following
Thursday 17th April (The Watch) We will be marking out time for you to come and experience prayer in a whole new way. We will be calling the church to come and watch and pray for one hour. (more detail to follow).
Friday 18th April (Good Friday service inc communion @ICC) come to reflect on and celebrate the decision made by Jesus to follow through His calling to the end giving His life for us!
Sunday 20th Sun rise breakfast (details to come) a chance to celebrate the “Rising of the Son” with a bacon sandwich and pray in the most eternally life altering day in history!
Sunday 20th Easter day service (@ Hautlieu) This is, for many, one of the only days that they will come to church. Lets be praying that as we celebrate all that Jesus is and has done, many will turn to him for all of their needs. Please invite friends and pray for them specifically.
Thank you so much church for being willing to pray. Be encouraged as we enter this time of year that God has marked you out for such a time as this to be where you are, in your family, in your workplace in your circle of friends, to carry the Kingdom of God into the darkness, set the captives free, restore sight to the blind, preach good news to the poor and proclaim the year of the Lords favour!!
